July 1st, 2020 12:31 PM #332This theory is bsically the oppopsite of the effect of exogenous testosterone on the male body.
Among body builders, they cycle the use of testosterone because continued use gives the a signal to our balls to stop producing natural testosterone.
Abuse test and production of natural testosterone will stop.
If you read about athletes getting caught having high exogenous testosterone levels, a popular excuse is they have low testosterone levels and are under hormone replacement therapy. But you have to ask why have low levels at 30 to 40 years of age? Yoyur guess is as good as mine.

I should metformin pala. Just kidding
Parang eggs pala ng babae ang insulin
I'm confused, hindi ka pa ba diabetic once you start taking meds like metformin? Napaisip tuloy ako if I should take kasi rarely na ko mag below 100, it's always 100 to 108 range

you're officially diabetic when your FBS is 126 & above on 2 separate occasions right?
then doctors will prescribe metformin + another diabetes drug
in theory
i know Dr D may not agree

July 2nd, 2020 11:53 AM #336you are correct. i do not entirely agree.
choice of medication and their dosage, are personal. the physician titrates the medication from time to time, depending on the patient's clinical and laboratory findings.
iba-iba ang response ng katawan ng tao sa gamot.
the three usual laboratory criteria for the diagnosis of DM are on paper. one is mentioned, above.
but the treatment differs from patient to patient.

July 2nd, 2020 12:00 PM #338Diabetes Mellitus. DM.
sorry po.
the other one is DI. Diabetes Insipidus.
iba 'yon.
we remind our students,
unless the abbreviation or acronym is universally accepted in literature without need for introduction first via complete spelling,
"spell it out".
to some elder folks, DM still means Diosdado Macapagal.
and to some younger 'uns, DI is a Dance Instructor.
OT.
snap quiz!
what does "cabbage" mean in medical parlance?
heh heh.Last edited by dr. d; July 2nd, 2020 at 12:55 PM.
