(Original) Microsoft Windows XP Professional = P 9,200+
    vs
Linux (Fedora, OpenSuse, XandrosOCV, etc) = FREE!!!!

    (Original) Microsoft Office 2003 Profesional Edition = P 19,500+
    vs
    OpenOffice = FREE!!!!

    Kung may 2 pc ka:
    Windows XP Pro w/ M$ Office = (9,200 + 19,500) X 2 = P 57,400 !!!!!
    vs
    Linux w/ OpenOffice = FREE!!!!!

It's another mentality of branding of course... the other problem is the amount of support or widespread use of an OS or Application has... kungbaga kung Word gamit ng kasama ko... eh di mag Word nalang din ako... mas madali kopya ng assignment...

mag text editor nalang tayo lahat hahahahahaha....

OT: I already tried OpenOffice... it still needs some fixing... walang araw na hindi nahahang PC mo.... grrrr...

the other problem is the amount of support
Statistics show that 71% of PC software being used in the Philippines in 2004 was Illegal.
