Mom played Karateka on lolo's IBM-compatible and I played Microprose F117 Stealth Fighter! I think the map on that game is set in Iraq...

If I'm correct, I played it on our Pentium MMX 200MHz via floppy and not on the 386DX.

Played that as well. Along with Flight Simulator 1, Jet, Strike Commander, Falcon 3.0, EF-2000, TFX... at least the ones I remembered. I still have the old CH Products Flightstick in storage.

Fun as they were, these things gave me bad grades in high school and college. :D

Mom also played Load Runner! Lolz! Maybe I inherited her gaming genes. We also used to print banners using BannerMania and Broderbund Print Shop Deluxe.

The first game I had to upgrade my PC for was Mechwarrior. It required EGA or VGA display to see the graphics well. Interestingly I was able to setup a twin display system using both the old and new video cards I got.

Not that one. That came later. It's this one. I played this in glorious 16 colors and 5 fps on my Tandy 1000SX (8088 cpu).
