I may have misunderstood.

If you restore your laptop, that will really speed all things up ingat nalang bro baka masira ang US trip mo pero honestly, basta hindi Cds, baka di ka naman siguro sisitahin. gudluck.

Best thing is to buy an external Hard Drive something like 40GB pwede mo na transfer mga files mo I doubt if check pa nila yan sa Canada.. better hide mo nalang ang FOLDER para hindi ma kita kahit i browse nila..tapos unhide mo nalang pag gagamitin mo na.. like what I did sa mga confidential files ko while Im travelling... Wag ka mag dala ng pirated pag sa US or canada ka pupunta baka mag ka problema ka pa sa pag pasok mo don.. Good Luck

bawal ba magdownload ng mp3's at videos and bit*******s sa canada?
yung mga kazaa, *******..bawal ba dun?

how about my movies and mp3's na nandito na sa hd ko?bawal din ba?

    how about pirated games?programs?

Everyone is still doing it. Yung binilhan ko ng computer ko dito dinelete yung kazaa ko noong nagpa-upgrade ako tapos ipinalit eh shareaza......why you might ask?

This is my personal experience:

When we arrived at the airport, the "customs officials" politely asked if they could look at our laptops and the contents of our carry-on bags. Hindi na ako nag-taka dahil na-warningan na ako ng mga kasama ko sa trip na this would happen. So, I gave my laptop. What they did for the next couple hours or so is to open my laptop and scrutinize the contents. Yung hindi nila maintindihan, they asked me about it. I mean, really asked me about it. Kapag may tumangi, automatic kulong.

Their government does not want anything to come into their country that is "counter revolutionary" and "counter to their cultural ideals". This means bawal ang western music, western movies, pictures and anything with a western flavor that can..."influence" their people. In short, bawal halos lahat.

As for email, when we never send email there in English because they heavily censor the email. When the mail arrives at the recipient, the message does not make sense anymore due to the deletions. For those of you who might be skeptical about this, believe me: this is true. Like I said, first hand experience ko ito.

Kaya kami, when we send email there eh either Tagalog or Cebuano.

So yung sa Canada at US? If you ask me, wala yan compared to the nerve-wracking two hours or so that we experienced sa Burma.
