the flute-ing has been a common watch design since the early 60s.

    as i recall,
sandoz and bulova and other brands also used it in their rolexoid models.

flutes originated with a more utilitarian use than just aesthetics.

    Fake news.

    Thats a cheap Invicta watch.

Actually, one need not zoom in to see na ang layo.

Parang before here in tsikot din yun sa general, AP daw pero mukhang Gshock talaga. And the sad part ayaw aminin na mali.

i remember that guy. yung droga kaso. hindi heneral. el capitan or major yata..
in truth, the images were fuzzy enough as to create a market for doubt.
eventually, however, many finally agreed na "casio lang pala".
i wonder, na-ubos kaya ang stocks ng casio model na iyon as a result?
    heh heh.

    "casio lang pala?"
for rugged use nah, and guwapo pah, nothing beats stainless g-shock.
    my nephew, a seaman,
"unc, nakaka-tatlong siko 5 per year kami dati. but since we shifted to g-shock, ilang taon na 'tong suot kong ito."

but there was this general who was supposed to go to russia on an official trip, and along the way, acquire several uber-end swiss watches whose names i am not qualified to spell nor pronounce.

My weekend go-to watch is my Casio GShock Gravity Master. It has an analog dial with a whole bunch of features - alarm, second time zone, world time select, stop watch, compass, shock resistant, and water resistant. Got it for $100 when I went to the US in 2019.

    Welcome to the dark side!

BTT: visited Jackroad yesterday, no Calatrava, sadly. But, so as not to waste on the effort, got me an Omega Seamaster Co-Axial GMT.

why are the metal bracelets of some seiko models, designed for difficulty in adjusting to the right size wrist?
there are only two sets of adjustable holes. kung mamalasin, one will miss out by 1/3 length of a link...
sana naman ay ginawa nilang three pairs of adjusting holes.

You can always put on a different strap - leather, nylon, or fluorine rubber.

The steel bracelets on the Prospex models are quite good. Most even have the Seiko-specific divers extension.
