    Luxury watches as an investment will generally take time to appreciate. 2nd hand prices for Rolexes like those manufactured in the 80s and 90s have alreay exceeded their original value by 50 to 500%. With the market for birthyear watches in demand, it can fetch astronomical levels. I myself is looking for a Crown that is my birthyear.

    By the way, for Panerai, each model has a limited run and they never make them anymore. For an average person, they may all look the same but it's not.

    Having a luxury watch makes you belong to a certain "club". Even Seiko is having a great following in Facebook with numerous well respected personalities sharing their love for the brand. Check out SWCP(Seiko Watch Club of the Philippines), pretty sure you will be surprised by the car personalities posting there.
