    Speaking of Philip Stein...

My only watch that has a scratched crystal is this one which I've had since 2010. I did get a new strap recently, navy blue lizard leather strap that is real stiff right now. This watch doesn't get a lot of wrist time.

    good luck.
    Yes sir, quartz.

That is what I initially thought too. But I still have the receipt and it showed that I replaced its battery last Jan. It's really weird that the battery will die that fast. Before it takes almost 2 yrs before it needs a new battery.

Then I brought it to Watchworks and they found out that there are parts that need to be greased/oiled/put lube or something, cleaned, replaced and it will take 4 to 6 months for those parts to arrive.

sir, if it were a mechanical watch, i might have believed them. but this is a quartz watch..
i think what they do is the equivalent of cleaning your car's disc brake surfaces, or doing engine flush.. it's not necessary, but if they do it, you have to pay them.
anyway, i hope your watch turns out ok..

btw, cheaper batteries are designed to run for a year, while the more expensive ones of the same size, can run 2 years.. why, the big batteries casio watches use, are warranted to run 10 years..
