hahaha, naging official games na.

Still the number of successful gamers are still relatively low compared to other "income" generating work or activity imho. Lesser chance of being financially stable.

Same can be said about physical sports. But i never heard anyone discourage their child from taking sports in parellel with studies.

It's not the game per se that is harmful. It's when they ignore other responsibilities just to play game. Kahit sa sports pa addict anak ko ok lang. Pero kung naglalaro pa rin sya ng basketball on the night that he is supposed to review for finals the next day, yun na ang masama.

Yeah, you are right. Prioritizing and self discipline is the key and instilling it would be the parents job.

Gamers have a stigma of bulakbol and i totally get that cause some or if not most good players spends more time at the screen. But the same is also true on any sport. Practice practice.

But to those who are stuck in the dark ages and discourage gaming, then they are missing out on a potential alternative career for their children.
