    you can avail of the retention promo every year, your contract is for two years at pag naka kalahati ka na ay pwede ka nang kumuha ulit ng bagong cp.
    If you like a nicer unit then upgrade your monthly subscription to a higher level.

    I might just stick with my existing plan nalang up until it expires and see what Globe has to offer me

    bulok nga ngayon ang retention sa smart, pero pwede na ako magapply para sa free phone. hindi ko nga lang type mga libre phone. hehe!

    Huwag ka na mag-globe sobrang kuripot! globe ako dati, kulang nalang umiyak ako para bigyan ako ng retention...wala daw silang retention package, ganda pa naman ng standing ko sa kanila...5 years walang libreng phone...tapos mga offer na phone packages nila mas pangit pa....

    so punta ako ng smart...atleast may retention pangkunswelo! hehehe

    Halata ba na galit na galit ako sa globe! hahaha

    You'll never get a satisfied answer in both camps hehe... Honestly I have both accounts, my Globe account has been active since 1998 (and we were even part of the initial Globe customers back in 91 or so), and my Smart line has been with me since 2000... Frankly, I like Globe A LOT MORE than Smart, especially with handing simple billing or service requests...

    If you're choosing a network just to get a "free" phone, medyo mali ata priorities nyo sa pag pili ng network hehe. Or to see who's not "kuripot", then you're basically a sucker for a hook-and-bait marketing strategy hehe.

    I've gotten 4 phones (free) from Globe, 2 from Smart so far.

    Smart has given me more problems in my first 4 months than my 4 years with Globe...

    Dagdag sa sakit ng ulo yung requirement nila for 2500 deposit just to activate roaming, and then wait 2 weeks before getting your deposit back when you return sa country... Sa Globe I just called their hotline and in 2hrs ok na.

    Well, I guess you're lucky with globe baka you're a client that they see important...okay din naman service nila except sa rewards...That time I was with globe I was spending like 6thousand a month on calls (I'm not saying lakas ko gumamit, may mga kilala ako that spend 20thou just on phone bills but 6thou is 6 thou) tapos ayaw nila ako bigyan ng free phone while my other friends that spend less than me, may nakuha...

    I didn't let marketing dictate my transfer its just that I felt I was not appreciated as a client at globe so I transferred to smart baka they will treat me better....at first nga mahirap mag-adjust had problems also, but now nag-improve na yung service nila and they are okay na with me already....

    Roaming naman, sa akin automatic activation naman yung roaming ko, I just called one time tapos everytime I go out of the country roaming na agad siya, no need to call them everytime I go out of the country...wala din naman silang hiningi na deposit or bond sa akin, basta nag automatic roaming nalang agad ako.

    my sisters are both globe subscribers since 98. Our eldest sister, last year lang nakakuha ng 11k rebate na i-credit sa fone bill nya for 2 year spread. Yung isang sis ko naman. kung di pa lumaki bill nya di pa nakakuha ng free fone, and nalaman lang nya about the retention paln thru newspapaer, nung una sabi pa ng globe di daw sya eligible, pero nung kinulit nya na tingnan account nya, tsaka lang pumayag yung kausap nya, at eligible pala talga sya.

    ako naman 2 beses na nag retention plan sa smart, both were disappointing experiences. yung una, i wanted the siemens m65, sabi walang available unit. intay na lang daw. after 3 months of waiting bigla promo nila m65, buy it for 18k then may free na isa pang fone. sa badtrip ko tinawagan ko smart asked kung meron na unit, sabi meron na daw, so asked kung pwede yun ang ibigay sa retention plan kasi 3 months na nga waiting. di daw pwede. so dinaan ko na sa kakilala namin ni Theveed. ayun labas agad unit.

    second time ganun din walang unit daw. tatawag nanaman. 1 month passed walang update, so dinaan ko ulit sa kakilala namin, tsaka lang binigay unit.

    sa sun lang ako nakaswerte na mabilis, nag text sila sa eligible ako for retention, pagpunta ko sa sunshop, showed them the text, they confrmed the records and in 30mins. i have a new fone plan 250 lang ako sa sun.

    pangit nga phones ngayon ng Smart...si esmi kumuha na lang tuloy ng plan sa Globe for the same amount as sa plan ng free XDA2....w850i yung phone...baka mag shift na rin ako sa Globe kapag walang maayos na phone ang smart sa mga susunod na buwan...

    I've been a Smart subscriber (Addict Mobile) for quite some time now and have never received any such offer.

    Before that, I was a Globe subscriber via Islacom then formally through a change of number, Globe.

    Still no offers for me.

    I'm starting to think that this is maybe I only got the line from them and provided my own mobile unit. (I never liked the units being locked to a single carrier)

    I think you will only get that offer when you avail of handset and plan from them.
