I've checked reviews at amazon, may mga gd reviews, may iba namang may negative feedbacks. kesyo madali daw masira, turns in wrong direction..
logitech nalang siguro, para sure talaga..
i found a review of the logitech driving force GT at youtube:
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGVo9otfU4M&feature=channel]Part 1[/ame]
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDH-RmW4iZs&feature=channel]Part 2[/ame]
the reviewer rated the pedals lower.. but the wheel itself daw is more comparable to the G25 rather than the DFP.
Tapos un pedals on/off lang din ang gana nya walang value in between parang naka keyboard ka panay wheel lock tuloy.

Will definitely help you decide on your wheel at may mga setup pa.

Excellent Quote from the site...
"This is an important point to reemphasize when first learning a racing sim: Don't worry about lap times. Concentrate on what the sim is telling you about the car. Traction, chassis rotation, tire slip, etc. And concentrate on nailing your marks — your car placement at the braking point, turn in, apex, exit, throttle timing, etc. Think about how you're turning the wheel, at what rate (too fast means too late on turn in, and self-induced understeer). Are you able to unwind the wheel it as you pass the apex and drive for the exit, or are you holding the turn in as you accelerate out? — if so, you're holding the car back in terms of acceleration. Are you braking hard, easing off, then easing back on the throttle in almost one seamless motion? In other words, you need to be aware of what you're doing with the controls as you turn laps. As you gain experience with the track, and with the sim, you'll start to get a feel for what you're doing with the controls. And that's when you'll get some consistency and your lap times will improve."

I was thinking of buying the G27 but Modern Warfare 2 is insanely fun so I'll get one maybe early next year.

I had one, for 680 pesos. Broke in 3 months.
Wheel turns 180 degrees, even less than the 240 degree standard for racing wheels. It had paddles that were linked to the freakin pedals!!!
So there was no way you could do sequential shifting with those pedals because pressing on it would either accelerate or brake your car. It did have another stickshift that was capable of sequential shifting.
About the pedals, well they did function, not a 0 or 100 percent thing. It linearly progressed as you stepped harder. That is, until it broke. The pedals were the first to give up on that crappy wheel of mine, the potentiometers broke, and there was always a 5% input even if i wasn't stepping. And when I did step on it, I'd have to step at full force twice just to get it to 100% input (similar to how jeepney drivers pump their brakes wildly). And as a result, the whole plastic enclosure of the CD-R King Wheel cracked.
And lastly, the wheel itself has no internal motor. Instead it feels like there's a rubber band inside that snaps it back to center position when you turn left or right.
So to sum it up: DON'T BUY A CD-R KING WHEEL.
Bought a Momo and it is leagues better than a CD-R King wheel. Should've been a Driving Force GT but it's such a pain in the ass to find one. If you're lucky enough to find one at under 5k, grab it quickly.
As I was market shopping, I also stumbled upon the Genius wheels. Retailed at 1.7 grand I think. But seeing as Logitech Momo already had the rep, and upon initial feel, it felt more solid than the Genius wheels (all of them), I bought the Momo.
I have no idea how the Genius wheels perform. At best I would say it'd be similar to the Momo, but I reckon it'd break much quicker.
Bought my Momo January and it's about to have it's birthday and it's running perfectly. Hopefully it doesn't start showing faults after the 1 year warranty runs out. :D
^langyang cd-r king talaga yan.. haha
pwede pala maka build ng h-shifter+clutch! using an joy stick, keyboard circuit board and a DIY frame (or housing to house the entire mechanism) and mdf boards for the clutch.

i also found some of these at youtube. i guess they had different procedures. so in the link posted is just one of the ways to build an h-shifter and clutch.
I bought an A4tech and Logitech Momo before. Mas ok definitely ang Logitech. Sobrang layo. hahaha.
Sabagay, mura lang ang A4tech, I got it for less than 2k lang. Momo's price haven't really changed through the years but it's a bit cheaper now (it's 5k+ before).
Yun nga lang, after a month, nagsawa na rin ako, it stayed in the box. If you constantly play this, tapos di ka nagd-drive all the time, perhaps di ka magsasawa dito lalo na sa G series.
After a while, I just sold it for cheap. Best racing sims I've played with are Porsche Unleashed, and F1. Never tried the newer racings sims (yet). Walang kwenta na yung mga NFS. Almost zero physics.
May sablay pa minsan.
Contrary to that, NFS Shift, most especially after Patch 1.02, has refined handling that surpasses any Need for Speed title that I've played (I started with NFSU). I also believe it's better than Grid. However I haven't tried rFactor or any of the hardcore PC sims. Anyway it feels real enough, though probably on the twitchy side of real.
To anyone with money to burn, here's a comparison of what are purportedly the best racing wheels out there. (In this comparo, the G27 is cheap)

i guess ok na yung Logitech driving force GT plus homemade H-shifter and clutch pedal (actually parang on/off button lang yung homemade clutch pedal)![]()
Parang ang hassle nung H-shifter niya. Personally I'd just make do with the paddle shifters. Kunwari naka-DSG lahat ng kotse ko![]()
You should try F1 2000 and Porsche Unleashed first. NFSU also has almost zero physics. Arcade game level lang sya. It's not a sim. Kind of unplayable sa keyboard ang sims. Mahirap kasi controlin, hence the necessity to get a proper steering wheel. Yung Arcade level like NFSU though, keyboard lang ayos na.
I guess, natakot siguro ang game makers na gawin masyado sophisticated since not everyone can and/or will buy a proper steering wheel like Momo just for their game. So to accommodate a larger market, ginawa nila arcade style, yun nga lang, boring na.
Iba kasi ang racing sims. Iba ang feel. Iba lahat. Like a month ago, I was driving down the seaside highways of Camiguin Island in a Civic FD MT. May race track kasi doon by the seaside.
nanibago nga ako, i'm playing NFSU kasi before. never thought about racing simulators before with realistic physics. but when i read (again) my old topgear issue, i saw their game of the month, it was F1 championship edition. they said it is the closest thing to reality daw. it made me curious that I searched for the game and wanted to try it. but sadly pang PS3 lang pala sya. so i searched again for another good racing simulator for PC. then i found rFactor, then downloaded it. nakita ko rin sa tipidpc na one racing simulator cafe (the one i posted at page 1) uses race07 in their rigs. i thought it's a good sim too so i downloaded it. tapos na nga sya mag dl ngayon install ko na yeehey![]()
nag dl din ako ng RBR nabasa ko kasi dito sa tsikot about nyan, mahirap nga daw. after trying it I can say na napakihirap nga without a steering wheel. hirap talaga, kasi conting tap mo sa steering controls, e going uncontrollable na ang car. maybe because of the simulated unpredictable handling in the gravel (unpaved road).
