    Thanks.

I recommend Asus N66U. Been using this router for a year now and so far stable, fast with frequent firmware updates. Do a search for reviews online.

Kelangan talaga per floor ang Wi-Fi AP. Ang issue kasi dyan is not the router but the gadgets.

This thing is one neat Wi-Fi indoor installation. Mura lang.

I would recommend a wifi router per floor. Then CAT5 cable to connect the routers together between floors.

all of the above suggestions work. or you can also try this Edimax EW-7438RPn N300 Universal Wi-Fi Extender | VillMan Computers

I used it in my parents house. They now have coverage on both floors. No need for cat 5 wiring. I think you can link up to 4 units if you have a mansion.

One can also opt to buy Routers with dual band [it probably means two radios (2.4 and 5GHz)] & removable antennae. SMA cable is all you need to extend the range. One can also upgrade the antenna to higher dBi for wider coverage.

Gigabit wireless (WiFi - AC) is now available.

    marami kang option:

    b) buy a wifi extender, or another router that you will utilize as an access point. yung second floor access point mo directly communicates with the router sa ground floor. pero again, depende ito sa lakas ng bato ng signal mo ng router sa ground floor.

if i am to choose, i'll chose option b. pero extender option, hindi access point option.

No, a single dual band WIFi-N should do the trick I know because my Dual band wifi N can reach three compounds (some cousins like the free wifi).
