Mga dudes, AFAIK, dalawang klase pa rin ang mga MyDSL accounts, isang DHCP (walang dial-up) at isang PPPoE (Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet, needs dial-up).
Lucius: I don't know if your current modem was configured to auto-dial-up to the PPPoE account you were used to, o pinalitan na rin nang DHCP yung account mo.
Mas ok yung DHCP lang (tulad nung nasa bahay ko) kesa sa PPPoE, kasi, sa PPPoE, you need a router (either PC or appliance) that can be configured to automatically dial into the PPPoE with a username and password, if you don't like having to login. In my company's case, pumapalpak yung endian firewall PC namin, hindi nag-da-dial automatically even when it's setup to do that.
In my boss's case, he had to tell the installer of his modem (PPPoE) that he wants to use a wireless router just so he could. Because, for the life of me, I just couldn't get his router to work with his modem! I resorted to resetting his modem, and only managed to remove his only working internet connection (desktop PC directly connected to the modem).
HTH.

April 21st, 2009 03:36 PM #14Ganito kasi. Until last last friday bigla nalang nagloko. So pinalitan na yesterday ng zyxel, now ang ginawa naman eh dial dial na naman ako.
Pano ba gawin un step by step?

Actually, kahit naman sa DHCP, pag ayaw mag-sync ng modem, ganun pa rin iyun.
Teka, meron bang set number of retries iyun? Di ba forever and ever na ang pag-retry nun?
I suggest you use FLASHGET for your HTTP downloads para pwede siya mag-continue.
Sa *******s naman walang problema kahit nadi-disconnect lagi.
agree ako syo. battery dying will be the next owner's problem. kaso the only reason I'm buying...
