from cod5, nazie zombie. =)
yep, kahit kaka-format lang, nothing installed yet, and I get latency issues already. right now, I just switch from balanced or power saver to high performance power plan profile and the latency is gone. except in crisis. lol
I got some leads to the problem though... apparantly, despite the ASPM option is around, it's not functional...
damn, who wouldn't?
is your lcd Nvidia 3dVision ready? that would tear my mouth apart. LOL!

I'm guessing it's your hardware. There's usually no latency problems with hardware unless they're sharing something, be it resources or pathways.

I have new hardware. That function works perfectly. I know it wouldn't work with my previous pc.

I'm still playing Crysis. But instead of accomplishing missions and eventually finishing the game again, I'm just cleaning house; finding and hunting every KPA in each level ala Predator.
I've also been watching the movie Predator a wee bit too much....
There's also an interesting parallel between the game Crysis and the movie Predator. Crysis 2 will be in an urban setting much like Predator 2 was.....Last edited by Jun aka Pekto; December 27th, 2009 at 03:11 PM.

not really sure what ASPM is for. but I think it's not about sleep state. but more like power saving feature. google says:
PCIe ASPM technology allows PCIe hardware to transition the link to lower power states. The link is the physical interface between the PCI endpoint and the PCI switch. When ASPM is enabled, we can reduce power consumption even when the devices are in a fully powered on state (D0).
While ASPM can be enabled by the BIOS, it is often enabled only for mobile systems because the latency to transition from lower to fully powered state can cause a drop in performance. However, depending on the administrator's power policy, the OS should be able to switch this feature on or off at will, depending on whether the administrator wants to favor power over performance or vice versa.

my aspm might be broken... I have to set my processor power management minimum to 81% so maybe, it makes the transition to 100% is not far.
grr... I am still not appreciating crysis. not really my cup of tea. also puts my Ati HD 4850 to shame.
and darn nvidia & intel, I see their ads on crysis opening. lol!Last edited by rion; December 28th, 2009 at 04:07 AM.

Okay. Maybe I'm confused about sleep states. Does sleep states mean the power to the pc looks like it's off completely. On my pc, everything powers down including all lights, hard drives and PSU. Yet when I press the button, I'm right back where I left off within a second or two. I haven't turned off my pc in a while.

I'm on Crysis: Warhead now.
First thing I noticed is a minor, hopefully one-time rendering glitch:
But, I can run the game at Enthusiast/Very High settings which gave some nice HDR effects:
But, I still prefer the tried and true settings for me which were the most playable with good eye candy and good frame rates:
Texture Quality, Object Quality, and Water Quality are all Enthusiast while everything else were Gamer plus 2xAA.

Me? It's a double whammy.
Whenever Crytek shows up, Esc...... Crytek? Yeah yeah yeah.
When nVidia follows, Esc...... nVidia? Go away! I have an ATI card.
When the Intel logo shows up, Esc...... Intel? Shooo! I have an AMD cpu.
Every single time I start the game.....

I felt a little silly while replaying one of the levels in Crysis. I got on the roof of a building while cloaked and started knocking off KPA. Once the cloak turned off, one of em threw a grenade which blew the building down. A couple of shotgun blasts later and I'm forced to reload from the last saved game. Whoops.
yeah i think glycols are sweet so pets may drink if not bittered. seems like that's the only...
