Let's face it. ATI regards OpenGL as a different market (read: business and expensive). That's why they have their expensive FireGL line for you.

It's also why 3dfx went kaput. I liked 3dfx. I still have fond memories of my SLI'd BlackMagic Voodoo 2's. But, I knew their days were numbered when 3dfx insisted on remaining with OpenGL.

But, the OpenGL games all seem fine on my ATI card: IL-2 series, Homeworld series, the id games, etc. No glitches with any of them. The lack of AA is a killer though.

I played it once, but didn't continue playing after an hour...

my reason: my mouse is broken, felt helpless and terrified.

planning to install it again soon... after I replace my old broken mouse. lol
Played it on the Xbox 360 and finished it! Game is kinda scary...

Can't wait for IL2's sequel -- SoW. In the mean time, I just got Wings of Prey over at Steam. Just started downloading last night. Bagal! Am only getting 80kb/s.
Siguro sa biyernes ko pa ito malalaro....

    More FSX

Recording with FRAPS sure sucks up the frame rates. Does anyone know a better alternative than FRAPS?

    YouTube- fsx 2010-01-12 15-28-21-722.wmv

    YouTube- FSX B-25 and P-51

Perhaps the intrinsic computational resources needed to encode your frames into a video is responsible for the frame rate drop?

I have a not-so-able-anymore card and I get drops of about 10 fps when I try to record via FRAPS.

But what's weird is that video encoding would entail processing power instead of GPU power yet the drops are still relative to your GPU power.

If you find any better recording alternative Sir Jun, share naman diyan

Well, it's Flight Simulator X. It's a CPU hog and can bring down a pc as much as Crysis will. Actually, I still get smooth gameplay while FRAPS is recording and the original recordings show it. Unfortunately, conversion to YouTube drops some frames and make the playback appear jerky sometimes.

It better have a dedicated server option or I'm going to be royally ticked off. It's one of my must haves this year.
