The rear half of the one on the bottom picture looks like an M-14. The top one could be a modified one. I mean they're pretty old. So, they're bound to have undergone modifications since the original first came out.

I wouldn't call it new. I mean the AV-8B was new when I took the 8mm footage during the mid-90's. Now, it's actually pretty old.

Edit: Now, if one landed nearby, I wouldn't waste film on it.

Edit 2: I think the AV-8B entered service back in the late 80's because this is a picture of an AV-8B I took back in 1986:

Don't need big ships. Maybe a fleet of fast attack craft armed with cruise missiles and SAMS and a small enough size to hide in any of the Philippines' 7,107 islands. Dart out in hit and run raids and then vanish from sight.
