Acdg to the SUN welcome kit, you need to have at least two pesos in balance to be able to send and utilize your free text messages. Kinda stupid of SUN to do this......

i'm talking about globe free text nga pala, sorry di ko nalagay.

    glenn,

we (my wife and i) have tried it all kinds of ways already. texted until the load gets used up then di rin namin magamit free text. ganun din pag tumawag kami, pag ubos na ang load di rin magamit free text, check operator services lang lagi. mas grabe pa nga sa wife ko kasi she has something like 3000 free text credits eh. sabi nga namin baka gimik lang ng globe yun, di naman talaga nagagamit.

P50 per minute nga, P15 per text. activation is 24 hours after calling 211. expiration ng roaming is 3 months.

*ang alam ko sa globe roaming, pag may tumawag o mag-text sa iyo, sa iyo ang charges. dun sa nag-call o nag-text the normal charges apply, pero dun sa roaming phone apply yung P50 per minute saka P15 per text. this is from my experience, bilis maubos ng load ko. i count the text that i send and i receive, talagang P15 ang charge sa akin kahit receive siya*

**also make sure your call barring is turned off at globe. pag hindi mo sabihin sa kanila na alisin ang call barring e di ka maka-call puro text lang. but you can receive calls**

    Hi yebo,

To answer your question, actually the answer is already in between your statement...."naubusan na load sim ko. i try to text pero di naman pwede, check operator services pa din." Yes, you will normally experience this. Your free texts will not exempt you from being barred by the network operator that serves you simply because you already consumed all the amount of load that you purchased or you already have zero balanced in your load. You can only enjoy your free texts if you have a load. I'll just give you a HINT Sir, just maintain atleast PhP1.00 (depends on your network provider, in SMART atleast Php1.00 will do) on your load and you can use your free SMS until you consumed it. BUT never ever to set-up a call coz your PhP1.00 will be gone and your free SMS will be forfeited.
