February 23rd, 2011 01:00 AM #91Q: Accurate po kaya GPS nito, and may locator din po siya??
Nokia N900 and Nokia 5800 palang po ang tested ko na 98% accurate ang GPS pati time travel, when my car stops, the locator stop also, then pag point ko from Q.C to Sta. Mesa, nagtuturo siya ng possible directions or shortcut with calculated kilometers. Ganito rin po kaya sa mga Android??

Gud luck na lang sa future purchse OB/GM/JEW...
Next time, be more clear on your source. Honeycomb is for tablets due to their bigger screens. Honeycomb won't work on smartphones. Would you put a 1080P source in a screen that is only 480 resolution?
Android 2.4 will be a maintenance-release, to make dual-core Android 3.0 Honeycomb applications work on a single-core phone. Apparently this isn’t currently possible with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Their source also suggested that Android 2.4 will be made available in April.
Windows Phone 7 is a completely revamped version of flopped Microsoft Mobile OS. They are starting from scratch, something you don't do when you're in the middle of the game. Since it launching last year, Microsoft only captured less than 3% of market share. Nokia is known for their mid-low-end phones. They are now fast losing market share tocheap chinese smartphones using Android OS from manufacturers like Huwawei and ZTE.

Microsoft very much needs Windows Phone 7 to succeed—something illustrated by the most recent market share figures from research firm Gartner. In the 12 months leading to the third quarter, the company’s share of the worldwide smartphone market declined from 7.9 percent to 2.9 percent.
By contrast, Google Android saw its market share during that period rise from 3.5 percent to 25.5 percent. However, Research In Motion’s BlackBerry franchise, Apple’s iOS and Nokia’s Symbian all experienced market share dips of varying severity.
Overall, Gartner’s most recent analysis suggests that quarterly smartphone sales grew 96 percent year-over-year, and accounted for 19.3 percent of overall mobile phone sales.
“This quarter saw Apple and Android drive record smartphone sales,” Carolina Milanesi, a research vice president at Gartner, wrote in a Nov. 10 research note. “Apple’s share of the smartphone market surpassed Research In Motion (RIM) in North America to put it second behind Android while Android volumes also grew rapidly making it the No. 2 operating system worldwide.”
That combination of record smartphone sales and rapid-fire technological innovation, however, puts all the companies involved at risk of falling behind, should they misstep.
“Smartphone OS providers have entered a period of accelerated platform evolution, stimulated by more regular product releases, new platform entrants and new device types,” Roberta Cozza, principal research analyst at Gartner, wrote in the same Nov. 10 research note. “Any platform that fails to innovate quickly—either through a vibrant multi-player ecosystem or clear vision of a single controlling entity—will lose developers, manufacturers, potential partners and ultimately users.”Last edited by Monseratto; February 23rd, 2011 at 02:28 PM.

February 23rd, 2011 06:25 PM #94buti lagay mo chart. kasi Nokia owns Symbian. it bought Symbian in 2008.
now that Nokia and MS are partners not hardware manufacturer lang ha. all app deployments of Symbian and Nokia Store will be handled by Microsoft and
Nokia in turn will drop Symbian and adopt Windows Phone 7 as their flagship in smartphones. main reason why Nokia is dropping Symbian, it will not be maximized in the upcoming Dual Core Devices of which Microsoft is the leader as seen on laptops.
since Symbian is basically Java Programming apps din naman like Android, lilipat lang ang Java apps ng bagong bahay OS which is Windows Phone 7.
so yun 31% sa chart, gawin mo lang Windows Phone 7.
and then bilang ka pa ilang years, mabubuset ang mga tao synchronising their Androids or IOS with their Windows 7 based laptops. while kami Windows Phone 7 for mobile and Windows 7 for laptop. halos wala na siguro conversion / synchronization dito
==
dun naman sa Honeycomb hello, it's still ver 2.4. ano gagawin ni Google, stop nasa 2.3 yun pang smartphone eh di lalo sila bagsak. Honeycomb pa din lagay sa Smartphones coz tablets and smartphones will have same dual core procs
==
and of course, andyan na ang Xbox Live and of course, the Kinect. wala si Google nor Apple nyan. incorporate gaming sa Windows Mobile 7 and you've got the market share of the gamers too
==
Zuckerberg's next conquest will be IM Messaging coz he is so focused on FB Chat to make it an FB Phone that's why there is now an FB Phone based of FB Chat. and with MS bing as its decision AI-like search engine.
the monopoly is set! to all of you guys, mark this thread and post 3-5 years from now. and you'll believe

pero kung analyze nyo lang talaga personality ni Bill Gates. i doubt that he is keen on full marketing Windows Phone 7, smokescreen lang yan to divert the competitors. punta ka sa secret lab niyan, and sigurado what they're developing is Windows 7 for Smartphones, yes the ones we have on laptops.
so one O.S. for all laptops, smartphones, tablets. yan ang final agenda.

Too bad things are developing not the way microsoft would have wanted. Tagal na ata sila sa smartphones. They keep on upgrading their Windows Mobile OS but it still ended up with only 3% market share. And that's not even close to a monopoly. It's cheap chinese Smartphones with Android OS that is determining the market. Things are looking bright, for Android. Maybe if you wish upon a star it may come true...Last edited by Monseratto; February 23rd, 2011 at 08:18 PM.
