I read somewhere that intel dual core or core2dou I think... that it has lower power consumption than it's older gen cpu.

They do because the die where they're stamped from are smaller.
I'm thinking of upgrading to a new pc that's optimized for Flight Simulator X. That game is cpu-heavy and multicore aware. So, it has to be an Intel quadcore cpu. I also want multi-monitor support. That means I'll end up buying an SLI or Crossfire-capable motherboard along with 2 PCI-E video cards but in non-SLI/Crossfire mode. 4 monitors would be fine although having more must be nice. Here's a YT video of FSX with 8 monitors and 4 video cards.
