From a fellow HK owner, HK are awesome... but as a HT user, I feel the things you should not compromise in price, features are speakers...not receivers... since they get newer models more frequently than speakers.

This is an image of the design. the transparent box is where everything placed goes. There are also wooden wedges in the interior that they go screwed to the box.

based sa recommedation nyo...i'll audition the HK AVR230 (P23K), Yam RX-V450 (P15K).... also, what do you think of Denon 1705 (P18K)???

Based sa experience nyo, madali ba masira yun mga receiver na nabanggit ko? Service center, meron ba dito? Sana hindi naman sirain yan mga yan...

    Thanks!

Macky, wala na bang e-eelaborate pa yan...interesado yata ako.

    maestro,
    Personal opinion lang.
HK best of both worlds yan audio and ht
Yammy- HT pero over 2 years nag improve sila sa audio (mine is the 440 series)
    Denon 80% audio 20% HT

My AVR is Denon, and quite very satisfied w/ it....mas madalas kasi na music lang ako or concerts ang pinapanood and I can vouch na maganda rin talaga sa music ang Denon......

and mas di hamak na mas mura sa HK, that's why its my AVR right now....alang moolaahh pambili ng mas mamahalin na AVR at that time..... also, mas madaling ibagay sa player ang Denon dahil sa kulay...mine is dark silver and if you notice, karamihan ng DVD players are either in gold or silver color dito sa Asia...unlike in USA na merong Black...

and Harman Kardon receivers has only one colour in them (130.230.330) w/c is Black....well sa hindi naman ako particular sa matchings ng color sa mga gears ko kaya lang pag minsan at me bisita ka na kaibigan eh biglang magtatanong na, 'wala bang mabibibiling dvd player na ____ color para bumagay dyan sa AVR mo? hehehe..

and if at that time I do have enough money to buy HK, then I will contemplate again w/c one will I get....HK or Nad w/c is a bit more expensive than HK, but a very nice
    sounding AVR....

    maestro...

I already owned 2-Denon AVR and I dont have any headache w/ them....the old one are still rocking our house in manila until now...ac3 and prologic lang yon...but its very good sounding....oldschool ika nga kaya parang ayaw naming i-despose, kahit yung mga uncle ko na me integrated amp purely for music eh para daw hindi AVR kung tumunog yon.... well hooked in it is a full set of Roger speakers na musically inclined talaga ang pagkakagawa....

try to audition the Marantz AVR as well.....almost the same ang characteristic ng sound reproduction nyan sa Denon.....
