usually, kapag ganyan ang modem na binibigay ng PLDT, naka NGN na ang phone line na may DSL. hindi na kelangan ng username and password, auto DHCP lang ang connection type.

ang setup ko now is from the router port of the PL-DSL1 to the WAN port of my DLink wired router. then from DLink router port to the router port of my Linksys wireless router para maging wifi.

hindi ko talaga maintindihan at maisip kung bakit walang internet kapag i-connect ko directly sa WAN port ng Linksys wireless router ko from the modem-router of PLDT, pero sa DLink wired router e pwede naman.

hallelujah.. i'm setting-up the router. i'm on step#8. unable to connect daw pero naka-post ako dito. sinunod kop lang advice ni mikmik316 na iconnect sa regular port ng linksys router at di sa internet port.

what should i do now. do i need to exit the set-up. pag click ko kasi ng next, check lang sya ng connection, then unable to connect to the router naman sinasabi.. paulit-ulit lang..

hindi mo pwede gamitin ang setup wizard ng linksys if hindi sa WAN port nakakabit internet mo. dyan kasi naghahanap ng internet connection ang setup wizard at hindi sa router side.

    here's the set-up..

    PC1 - xp pro sp2
    PC2 (laptop) - xp home
    Pldt DSL plan 999

here's the problem. pag yung PC1 & DSL modem lang ang naka-on, okay ang dsl connection at walang time-out or slowdown. pero once ginamit na yung PC2 at linksys for internet, within 10-15 minutes ay unti-unti na mawawalan ng connection yung PC1 hanggang di na makabrowse. pero pag disconnect ng PC2 at ini-off ang Linksys, kelangan pa irestart yung PL-DSL1 modem para bumalik yung connection ng PC1..

what seems to be the problem..

    tried this set-up too..

pero ganun pa din. once nag-access na ng internet yung laptop, nawawalan ng ng connection/bandwidth yung PC1..

masalimuot pala ang pldt dsl...yung smart bro from the antenna to the small thing (that needs to be plugged) tapos to the PC or Router
