That every from so-called prestigious university (UP, La Salle, Ateneo, UST among others) has had its share of foul-ups every now and then. But I digress, in the same manner that the thread is digressing from its original thought and intention.
So before we end up patting our respective schools on the back, or before this thread eventually turns into a shouting match as to which university produces the best graduates, I humbly suggest that we get back on topic, which is the thoughts of a certain Ms. Katie and how she perceives her country is presently being run.

Katie vs. Philippines is accurate. I don't think Katie cares about who supports her site or not. Like me, I just say what I think that needs to be said without worrying if I'll win pogi points from any of you. A year ago, I thought about putting up a site like Katie's to raise awareness. Pero umiinit ang dugo ko everytime I talk about these things.

February 12th, 2005 10:02 AM #110Karding, sinong bumoto sa kanila? Unlike sa US, mas democratic ang eleksyon dito kasi wala tayong electoral college. Every vote counts here.
You think a common pinoy is uncorrupt? How many of you know someone who have illegal cable? How many of you here own pirated DVDs, VCDs, and software? In fact, I seem to remember a thread here that openly discussed where to buy pirated DVDs. Now you see how hypocritical some of you are? Do you know how many times employees from cable companies have asked us if we want pirated cable? Langhiya talaga, naka uniform pa sila at truck ng kompanya. Bastos talaga. We pay P650 a month and to think that there's a bunch of people that get it for free. Kung marunong lang kayo tumingin, you'll be surprise at how many people have illegal cables.
Sa tindahan namin, do you know how many times we get approached by employees from other businesses that offer us goods they stole from their employers? We're talking about boxes and boxes! Obviously, we don't deal with stolen goods. There's also those clowns who wants us to jack up the price on the receipt so they can cheat their boss and keep the change.
Let's not even talk about how many people don't pay minimum wage to their employees, which is also illegal. Exploiting the poor by paying just P2,500 a month for a maid who works a 24 hour shift without SS or Philhealth.
I don't have enough room here to rant. Maybe I'll just set up that website after all.Last edited by jolog1; February 12th, 2005 at 10:05 AM.
