We have a 32" Sony Bravia in the living room.

Pero mas maganda ang picture ng 42" Samsung lcd, much much brighter and finer ang images .

Advice ko lang sa inyo if you plan to buy one, scout around for some great deals especially malapit na ang pasko. I plan to get the Samsung with their free home theater package (actually just add P5,000) then one year to pay Zero Interest .

Sulit talaga ang may lcd lalo na if you watch a lot of racing...kitang-kita mo ang mga small details like the decals on the race cars/bikes!

We already have the Black Sony Bravia (32"). I'm planning to get another one, this time, the 37" Samsung LCD naman. Dito sa Saudi, bagsak presyo na LCD TV.

I'm also in the same boat. I am thinking of getting a LCD projector (not a rear projection TV) for a home "cinema" setup. It can give me a bigger viewing area than a 42 inch plasma for less money. Of course, I would need to set aside some cash for some decent audio system and retractable projection screen as well.

One major downside of a LCD projector is the cost of a replacement bulb.

As for rear projection TVs, some of the drawbacks are:
    -narrow ideal viewing angle.
-screen not as "bright" when room is brightly lighted.
    -bulky

Advantage ng LCD TV sa CRT types, flicker free sila.
