Proudly Philippine Made!
Maybe they were supposed to be used for the local elections and they mixed them up with the ones bound for the US.

Whoever was the procurement manager for those machines is stupid.
If he needs machines like this, he should've gotten from Germany instead not from the Phils.

hmm... i also tend to think that this is more of a software glitch than anything less.
Unless, it is proven through adequate testing, that there is an engineering flaw in the design, thats the only time I would beleive. THe thing is, the design for this machine most probably came from the US or some other country like Taiwan., it is rare for a company in the Philippines to have R&D. Most manufacturing companies here source their R&D labs in other more industrialized countries. It may be true that design flaws may have been discovered by the QA engineers here, but the design team (from abroad) may have thought otherwise.
I dont think Filipino engineers would produce substandard products, unless the original design is flawed in the first place
