...2.My antivirus always opens and scans automatically whenever I start the computer. I already removed all scheduled scans but still the same. After I click any application, the antivirus scan window pops up and scans the drive , and I always need to stop the scan.
How to stop this auto scan...
Or you could check for any antivirus *.exe file on System Configuration Utility (type: msconfig at Run) under Startup tab. Uncheck all unnecessary startup programs that you won't need bundled with PC starting up for quicker boot time.

PC Peeps:
Ako naman ang magtatanong sa inyo, hehehe. :D
I'm currently shopping for UPS, bluetooth dongle & USB hub. Been thru www.villman.com & www.pcx.com.ph Nalito tuloy ako sa mga choices ng brands and varieties available.
UPS:
Would it be more economical to choose the higher VA available? Target ko mga 650-1000VA. Kaso yung APC-USA brand ang mahal pala! Any brand that I should look out for? Reliability wise? Balak ko kasi yung mas matagal pwede mag operate even without electricity.
Bluetooth:
Bluetooth Spec. Compliance- Ver 1.1 (meron pa bang may mas advance dito?) Baka kasi pagkabili ko may lalabas naman Ver 2.2 or something?
USB hub:
Which is which?
- USB 1.1 4-port hub
OR
- USB 2.0 4-Port Hub

Bluetooth... Maganda yung MSI BT Dongle pero mahal. Meron yung microtune P700 lang search mo sa bidshot.com. Kuha ka nung 100M range instead of the 10M, you might need the range someday.
USB HUB Kunin mo yung USB2.0.

What is backward compatible?
Nakita ko nga yung MSI bluetooth kaso 10m range lang yata ang available sa site. Meron yung Billionton bluetooth 100m.
Edit:
So, I'll just buy a smaller VA capacity (500)? Wala akong idea kung anong battery nasa loob ng UPS. Pang motorcyle ba yun?
Mahirap na kasi, tumataas na ang electric bill, baka mag umpisa nanaman ng power rationing. Nauuna lang ako magplano, hehehe.Last edited by Ungas; September 8th, 2004 at 07:24 PM.

backward compatibility means that the USB2.0 will support the previous version (USB1.1).
So pag meron kang usb1.1 device, gagana pa rin sa USB2.0 hub mo.

Got that, I'll probably shop around Gilmore tomorrow. Thanks!
Tignan ko na lang din dun bukas yung UPS nila.
they did mention that the Seal would have won a 0-60 comparison. But I agree that a 60-80 test...
