Correction. Not all experiments at IRRI are GMO related. There are also experiments on organic farming, agricultural mechanization and software for farmers (crop nutrient) or for agricultural machines.

A lot of plant/cross breeding is also done but through the trial and error method but using genetic mapping.

Rice has 42,000 genes and even until today, the scientists do not know what the function of each and every gene is.

Plants are very particular *** partners. They are very choosy and prefer a close relative rather then one outside its family.

Nature cross breeds for eons. Unfortunately, the human population cannot wait eons unless it wants starvation and land loss to overtake

    Hmmm so anung point mo?

Sa Pinas lang may shortage ng bigas at hindi na yun kasalanan o problema ng IRRI.

Rice are also self-pollinators which decreases the chance of genetic contamination.

    Who's to blame?

Just ask the ****ing activists who try to mislead people into believing that farmers don't want GMOs, and wage psych-warfare on IRRI.

Golden rice attack in Philippines: Anti-GMO activists lie about protest and safety.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
