Have you tried getting one of those evaporative air coolers? They are lighter on the electricity and help your current aircons to cool the shop area.

Ako I always prefer window-type WHEREVER POSSIBLE. Kasi mas madali i-maintain, may alternate ka in case 1 breaks down, it's cheaper in cost, and in our experience generally lasts longer.Siyempre may cases din na hindi advisable -- for example kung kulang ang ventilation sa likod o kung sobrang daming kakailanganin nung room na WT AC para lumamig.Tungkol sa konsumo, I believe it's more a function of total HP used plus EER rather than the type of AC per se -- although I heard yung 3-phase na SPLIT ay mas matipid, wala naman daw stock eh.BTW, feel ko kapos yung estimate mo na 2 x 2 hp WT AC's for a lab of 31 computers kung mataas ang occupancy. You'd probably need 2 x 2.5, unless di masyado napupuno.

Problem is, i cant decide kung ilang hp po bibilin ko.. according to virex(split type ac surveyor) i would need 2 hp daw po pero sa pagbabasa ko online ng about ac's i think 1.5 hp is enough. floor area is only 128 sq ft. medyo mataas lang ceiling ko.. sa tambay na tao, lets say 11 for each pc plus mga 5 tambay.. sa tingin nio pwede na po 1 or 1.5 hp? papapirmahin daw ako ng waiver na pag di ko sinunod yuung advice nila at di lumamig ang room, di daw ako pwede maghabol.. what do do u think sir?? thanks so much.. planning to purchase panasonic inverter type 1.5 hp..

Not a good idea with electronic equipment. These work by increasing humidity while airconditioners do the opposite. Plus the problem of corrosion/corrosive effect of high humidity.

Sa data center namin the airconditioners are even set to reduce humidity.

Sir make your setup more effective rather than increasing aircon loading. Suggestion lang po.

    1. Try creating funnels so you can redirect all exhaust of your PCs outside. Tipong itapon mo yung hot air palabas shop mo.
    2. Replace all your monitors to LCD. Believe me mataas heat load ng lumang CRT monitors kesa sa LCD monitors.
    3. Seal the area. Kung pwede ibaba mo yung kisame. Lower mo tapos install mo insulating media para di malaki load aircon. Kung 10 feet or 12 feet e ibaba mo ng 7 to 8 feet.
    4. Sunlight from outside adds load. Lagay ka ng sunscreens or tint mo (pang bahay wag pang auto) windows. Wag posters lang. Kung pwede lagay ka insulator sheet - parang silver one side.
    5. Keep doors and windows shut tight.
    6. Will electric fans inside help? Depende. Pero most of the time it will not. Why? Fans run with motors which get hot.
    7. Multiple window type aircons are better than one big aircon. Why? So you can shut down the other units kung walang tao sa shop mo. Just remember all aircons must have the same settings when in use.
    8. Put shades or a roof outside your shop. It helps if the outside area is kept cooler.
    9. And like cars, always keep your airconditioners clean both in the evaporator area (loob) and condenser (labas). Clean mo monthly aircon, weekly filters.

    Good luck.

It is better to get a slightly over-rated inverter A/C than an under-rated one because the compressor will have to work harder if it's under-rated.

And in my experience (I used to have three different PC rental shops), 2HP A/C is barely enough to keep it comfy.

High humidity is not good with electronic stuff but in a PC rental shop, trying to cut electrical cost is also important.

Anyway, as long a you have a properly sized exhaust fan to remove excess humidity from the interior of the shop, it should be fine. And it's not to be used all day long. Just during the low periods of the day when it's not economical to run the A/C because there are only a few customers.

Also PC shops tend to replace computers in two or three year cycles.

try to consult HVAC engineers na kakilala mo. they are the right guys to answer your queries. you have to calculate the heatload calculation plus other variables that involves air conditioning. try to google and find out kung merong kang makita simple formula.
