August 13th, 2017 07:10 PM #33yeah get a Thinkpad. i'm typing this on a very old thinkpad it just wouldn't die it has software to let you maintain the battery at 50% so even the battery isn't dying
i dual monitor it w/ a 22" IPS desktop monitor

I used to do video editing as a hobby (since my Commodore Amiga days). Nowadays, the only video editing I do is trim videos and upload to YT.
But, if I were to go back to actual video editing, I'd get a MacBook or an i7 Windows laptop with as much RAM as I can stuff into it and an SSD/HDD combo.
I'd also make sure it has fast I/O ports like Thunderbolt (2x quicker than USB3) for fast transfer of video files to external storage.
