There is still this portion of Marcos Hway where it is still undergoing road repair after it was destroy by a typhoon years ago (it 's a short span of road that's not cemented yet). Some friends complained that after they had to accelerate and overtake, biglang ayun, bumulaga bigla yung 10 meters of road na malalim ang lubak. There used to be a road sign there pero wala na ngayon kaya ingat na lang for those who are not familiar with the road.

I've never again tried Kennon since pepeng's onslaught.

I've gone to kennon road more than hundred times and i have done several dare devil maneuvers during uphill only not downhill. My top speed 120kph during straights then on cornering from 40-80kph tires were screeching. I'll never do this again!

During downhill I'm not that fast, alalay lang lalo na sa banda leon 1st gear always on the steepest, brakes might get hot or tires may lose traction but I've reached 120kph near the foot approaching rosario.

btw, would like to ask sana kung kumusta ang kennon road na ngayon? ok pa rin ba na daanan ng light vehicles? planning on baguio trip sana, and this time i would like to try this route..

Agree ako sayo Choy. Ako dati mayabang sa zigzag ( sanay ako sa zigzag, nasubukan ko lahat ng daan papuntang baguio pati yung via ambuklao galing nueva vizcaya ). Tumatakbo ako 120 pababa ng naguilian tapos may umovertake sa kin na kotse ( A umpisa plaka ). Para akong nakapark nung overtakan ako sa paliko pa.
Buhat non, nawala na yabang ko. Cool na ako sa 60 he he.

when I was still an Initial D wana be racer. my time from Bagiuo country club to my house in makati is less than 3 hours 45 minutes. I left around 2 am. I was using my stock sti at that time. I can safely say that there are some points that I reached 160-170kph downhill from baguio. I do not know which road was it pero eto yung may magandang bridge and tunnel .

Downhill Kennon Road.. We were speeding around 60km/h to 80km/h.. Ako yung nasa pinaka harap.

Sa lagay na yan may gap pa kami nung mga ka-convoy namin hehehe

just did a downhill run of 100kmh from a road ung papuntang tagaytay. di ko alam pangalan. and wow was the car still stable? YES!
