Talk about luck. After taking the lead from Sordo, with Ogier in 5th, Leob suffers a flat in SS14 and drops him back to 5th. Sordo, also had the same fate as Leob & drops to second. This allows Ogier to vault to 1st. Lady Luck favors Ogier.

Leob admitted he made an error when he stopped to change the flat, causing him to, loose the rally. A sensor in the car signaled a flat, so, like what they do in the Paris to Dakar Rally, they stopped to fix it. He wasn’t told that the Michelins are tough enough to finish the race, like what Sordo did. Overall, amazing race for him to be able to keep pace after 3 years off the WRC Grid.

Leob can't just sit in retirement knowing his fellah countryman could soon overhaul all his feat and WRC records..there seems no close challenger to Ogier since his hiatus.

He was invited back only for 3 races, as I recall, just to sort out the problems of the Citroen car. He must have done something, considering he came quite close to winning the event. I like his style better than Ogier. He reminds me of McRae. He takes chances & makes the the races more interesting.

The pressure is on. In the last few events, Ott Tanak makes a surge & is now in third overall tailing Neuville & Ogier. Ogier wins the last event to come closer to Neuville. Currently, they are running the WRC Spain & just finished the gravel portion, on to the asphalt segment. Ott tanak leads, with Ogier in 5th & Neuville in 7th. But the surprise is Sebastian Leob, who is now in 4th. Leob is a tarmac specialist & this will be a good chance for him to catch up. Looking for a podium for him

Amazing Leob. 5 years after retiring from the WRC & driving a car which isnÂ’t even a contender all season, he competes in the last of 3 selected events & snatches it! He wins the Rallye Spain, jumping from 3rd to 1st on the last day. What a drive.

2018 champion Sebastian Ogier moves to Citroen from Ford and the surprise is Sebastian Leob will drive for Hyundai in 2019. This following Peugeot’s decision not to enter the WRX season leaving him with no ride on 2019. It will only be for 6 races, but Hyundai stands to benefit more from his experiece in developing a more competative car, something that runner up Neuville feels is the only missing piece in the puzzle.

In the penultimate race of the season, Ott Tänak of Toyota Gazoo Racing dethrones Seb Ogier of Citroen to become the first non french to win the WRC world championship. The race was won by Thierry Neuville of Hyundai, who now leads former champion Ogier by 10 points. The fight is now for second, leading to the Australian rally, which is the final event.

I am not much of a fan of Sebastian Ogier (Leob fan ako) but that man can drive. Champion in VW, left for M Sport, champion ulit then went to Citroen. Citroen car was described as undrivable but he managed to make it competitive( Shitroen nga raw). Malas lang nya Tanäk had the better car. Ang malas talaga itong si Thierry Neuville. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. He is in third now, but with a lot of luck, he can still make 1st runner up to Tanäk.
