shockabsorber,
--solid axle, rigid platform/chasis, high ground clearance, 4wd with low range gearing, truck-like performance!!

sHoCkAbSoRbEr::: kiper18 is right. Mini SUVs need momentum and force to activate your 4WD. Not like real 4WD equiptment wherein you could switch it to 4H or 4L. Your vehicle should work for you not the other way around. Most RAV4's, CRV's, Escape's are equipt with 4H type settings that the real 4WD have. Pag pinilit nyo sumama sa ganun klaseng trail, we would end up towing you guys if you happen to be diagonally stuck, ie; left front tire and rear right tire lift. Not hat I don't want you to join us, but it will be much easier and fun offroading if vehicles won't need to be winched or towed along the trails.
A much cheaper option for you guys is to hitch a ride with any offroader vehicle then learn the "how to do it right" ways. :D

There's still chance that you could join us. Try to shotgun with the group first. And get the hang of it. Who knows, you might be the first compact SUV to overcome those trails. Driving technique will be your basis, how to avoid getting stuck.

Sure! yun lang pala eh, just be competent enough that you can handle it. Baka mabigla kayo. This mammoth has got power enough to push you back into the back seat.
Prepare your compact SUVs on Feb 8 or 9!!! We promise you this will be a light trail siutable for your vehicles. Trails will be on the south of Metro Manila. :D
Methinks the Battle of Carthage scene in Russel Crowe's Gladiator (yr. 2000) is a homage to that...
