I hope they don't interpret this too broadly and encompass anyone doing any kind of spirited driving.

IMO cruise lang muna for the first few months of implementation coz you know they're going to be out to get anyone.

    wow... total waste of time!

Bawal naman talaga ang any form of racing in public roads.

    We also have speed limits

Why do they need to "ban" something that's "illegal?"

Agreed illegal na naman talaga dati pa.

But the new law significantly raises the stakes. Minimum 300k? Sounds like an opportunity for maximum kotong.

In case some people do conduct illegal street races, how will they catch them? Our local police doesn’t have the means to chase modded street cars.

    what for?
    we don't need new laws.
what we need, are effective implementation of current laws.

Based on experience... (hahaha, lalabas nanaman age ko. College days sa Mindanao Ave)

May mauuna noon na darating na naka-bike (as in bisikleta)

Once they confirm na may racing na nangyayari, mag-radio sya para dumating yung police.

During those times, parang may street party sa may gas station where people eat, drink, hangout and race.

-> same case sa Macapagal (di ko inabot yung Ortigas).

    ***
Huhuliin lang naman yung actual na nag-racing (pag dating ng police), and yung mga naka-park along the street - napupuno kasi yung gas station ng sasakyan.
(yung iba naman porma at inom lang)

Kahit gaano kabilis yung car mo, wala rin choice kasi limited possible exit nung mga kalsada.

True, implementation of our existing road laws is what’s needed.

For overspeeding vehicles on expressways, speculative minsan yung apprehension sa toll gates tapos namimili sila. We don’t have roving enforcers to watch over expressways. Unlike in the US where they have state troopers manning interstates who will chase down speeders.

Nung nasa US ako, takot ko lang mag overspeeding unless most motorists are doing it.
