Yeah... Adrian Sutil wants his seat.

But really, he's had the worst of luck.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Rush 2: What happened next for Lauda and Hunt
Monday 07th October 2013, 23:26 by Graham Keilloh

You are a motor racing fan (or at least I assume you are, as otherwise why would you be here?). Therefore, most probably you’ve seen Rush by now. The story of Niki Lauda vs. James Hunt; their titanic F1 rivalry, as interpreted by Hollywood. And Rush left us at the end of the 1976 season with the two on top of the world: Lauda having returned from his horrific and fiery mid-season Nurburgring accident, in a scarcely plausible timespan, to defend his F1 world title. And Hunt having made good on his potential and defied his many doubters by pipping Lauda to become world champion himself.

As is indicated by the fact that Rush was made at all, the two were a quintessential pair of protagonists, discrepant personalities that could have been borne of the imagination of a Hollywood scriptwriter had they not actually existed. Lauda: intense, anti-social, rational; Hunt: expressive, controversial, instinctive. Seemingly all they had in common was supreme talent. - See more at:

De Villota found dead in hotel room - GPUpdate.net

De Villota found dead in hotel room

    11 October 2013

Ex-Marussia reserve driver María de Villota has been found dead in a hotel room in Seville. The Spaniard, who was working for the Banbury-based outfit when she suffered life-threatening injuries in a testing crash last year, was 33.

A statement published on de Villota's Facebook page on Friday morning, signed by her family, explained: "Dear friends: Maria has left us, she had to go to heaven like all angels. We thank God for the extra year and a half that he left her with us."

Although de Villota lost her right eye and suffered major skull damage after hitting a trailer during the aforementioned straight line test at Duxford Aerodrome, she was able to recover and returned to the F1 paddock at this year's Spanish Grand Prix.

De Villota formerly contested the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) and Superleague Formula, and was the daughter of ex-Formula 1 racer Emilio.

She was in the Spanish city to give a presentation ahead of the launch of her autobiography, 'La vida es un regalo' (Life is a gift), and according to reports had appeared in perfect health on Monday.

Spanish motor racing president Carlos Gracia, who said de Villota had sent him an email at about midnight on Monday, told Marca newspaper: "All I know for now is that her personal assistant, Arancha, came into the room and could not wake her.

"She was already dead. Apparently it was a natural death, but we know nothing," he added.

Manuel Franco, the F1 correspondent for the sports newspaper AS, added: "There were no drugs found or any signs of violence, so she is likely to have died of natural causes."

Spanish television Antena 3, who said de Villota has suffered from migraines since recovering from the near-fatal 2012 crash, revealed there will be an autopsy.

GPUpdate.net extends its condolences to the family and friends of María de Villota.
