Yes, and FM's family in the pits was already celebrating, until that (in)famous overtake of LH (over TG) in the last corner of the track..... Poor Massas....

Up to this day, Felipe Massa is not blaming Timo Glock on why he lost the championship crown. He's been consistently blaming Nelson Piquet Jr. for his misery. He said that had Piquet did not carry out the Singapore ruse that crashed his Renault into the wall on purpose, he could have been World Champion evenif Timo had let Lewis pass through in Brazil.

However, if we will follow Dr. Emmet Brown's rule regarding the infamous space-time continuum, that if you change something in the past, it will cascade into the future with further unforseen changes. Which basically means, if Flavio did not order Piquet to crash, it was quite possible that a spring from Rubens Barichello's car would have detached and slammed into Massa's head instead... effectively ending his season.

So Massa's argument about "what could have been", may only be good on hindsight. But you cannot change the past, and say your destiny will be re-written in your own terms instead.
