To me, this Brazilian GP exudes a feeling of déjà vu of the season finale during the 1998 season at Suzuka. A tire puncture, which eventually led to a complete tire failure, caused Michael to end his race prematurely, conceding the driver's title to Mika Hakkinen.

I think most drivers wanted to stay away from Michael as far away as possible unless they get themselves involved in some kind of accident and risk getting their name recorded in history as the guy who took Michael Schumacher out of the race in the final drive of his career.

You don't want your son asking you someday, "Daddy is it true what it says in the Wikipedia that you crashed Schumacher out in his last race before retirement?"
