It’s still a winner take all for schumi in sao paolo if:
he wins it and alonzo got no points. It’s going go be a tie in terms
of points but schumi will still be the world champ bec of total no of wins
with 8. They both have won 7 gps. If schumi wins and Alonzo finishes
9th place and up. Schumi will retire as world champ.
Let's see in Sao Paolo. Formula 1 has many dramas before. This could
be another one.

October 9th, 2006 11:52 AM #32ang masakit kasi yung timing. if it were 6 or 7 races ago, pwedeng sabihing ok lang kasi madami pang chances makahabol. but since its the penultimate race, practically no chance to make up. kaya mas tragic at masakit. hehe. peace!
anyway, ganun nga talaga ang sports. if you don't accept your fortunes, you won't be able to move forward.

October 10th, 2006 01:43 PM #33Schumi still has a chance. I'm definitely watching the next race.
RE: Alonso lucky? Considering he lost an engine himself a while back, I think this just evens things up.
because of the wheel nut problem but what many do not
seem to notice was that Schumacher did not finish that race as well..
Lets take a look and add up the points to see if it really, as you put it
"just evens things up"
10 pts - Alonso DNFs at Hungary because of wheel nut problem.
9 pts - Schumacher DNFs at Hungary becuase of playing tag with Heidfeld
( We subtract the 1 point he gained because FIA penalizes Kubica for being
overweight)
- minus -
10 pts - Schumacher DNF's at Suzuka because of engine failure
10 pts - Alonso DNFs at Monza due to engine failure
Now you realize where Alonso got the 10 pts lead he is enjoying now after
the Japanese GP. Its his skill as a driver and composure under pressure.
If you had all the skill in driving and the strategic thinking of a 9 -yr old then
you get what happened to Schumacher in Hungary. When Schumacher wins
he wins by a 1-2 point margin, when Alonso wins he wins by 10.
Lucky is what fate dealts you. Its what you do when you do not have an
engine failure that matters... Which make Scumacher's glaring mistake at
Hungary even more painful.
You can blame the car and the package all you want. Thing is the car is
an inanimate object. It is not malicious. Neither does it have an alterior
motive. You can even kick it out of frustration for all you like, at the end
of the day all you get is a sore foot.
If you are going to blame somebody blame the driver. Schumacher has nothing to blame
for his failure in winning the 2006 championship but himself...

I'll take whining over conniving anytime...
Renault sabotaging Ferrari? Hmmm... that's the same conspiracy theory a lot of people have been harboring about Ferrari and McLaren for a long time... that Ferrari is sabotaging McLaren.
The weird thing is, there is proof of an actual sabotage event on McLaren many years ago.... but not by Ferrari...
Hey, let's go interview Alonso's former wheel-nut man... maybe he knows...
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I don't know why you keep rubbing the Hungary incident just to empasize your logic that Schumacher thinks like a 9-year-old.
First of all, Schumacher already told the media at Monza that he decided to retire way back at Indianapolis during the time when his chances of winning the Driver's Championship had no assurances yet or whatsoever. This means that winning the DC is just an added bonus to him. He has decided to retire win or lose.
Now, you are trying to make it appear that he badly needs to win the DC as if it was his only purpose all this time. You rejected previous explanations that Schumacher's Hungary antics was his attitude about racing. You want everyone to accept that he had a 9-year-old's brain at that time, otherwise you wouldn't keep repeating your claims over and over again.
When he blew up his engine at Suzuka, he calmly left his car and immediately accepted his defeat. He told the press interview that he was disappointed but he was at peace while he was walking back to the pit garage. It was Alonso who is actually getting crazy whining like a 9-year-old when his crown was in jeopardy. He wanted to keep that crown so much, he had to castigate his own team for not supporting him with matching "I am Lonely" melodramatics.
The DC is just the icing on Schumacher's retirement cake. He was bound to eat it with or without the icing anyway. Sure, it would have been nice to have the icing, but you are trying to make it appear that he was desperate for it. Alonso is the one who is more desperate in his desire to keep his crown.

Wag nyo po kalimutan na si Schumi ang dapat na pole position sa Monaco Grand Prix had the stewards become objective na talaga namang nagkaproblema dun sa kotse ni Schumi at naipit sa track... He was demoted their kaya ayun nabawasan din ang points...
You will just realize na dito sa F1 madaming polticking and at the same time inside jobs na pwede mangyari... You can suspect that Michael's blown engine was done by an engineer paid by Renault to destroy the car... Pwede rin Alonso's blown engine & wheel nut problem was done by people paid by Ferrari's or other teams or Ferrari's supporter...
In the end its a matter of perception sino sa tingin mo ang dakila... Alonso? naahh such a cry baby.. even their boss is a cry baby... I always believed the French (including Michelin) had such big hatred against Schumi they tried to rest power in the F1 world since last year pa when they had a ridiculous no tire change rule....
Anyway kay Schumacher pa rin ako kahit naging boring ng konti ang F1 dahil perfect ang Ferrari Team that time... wait next year when the Iceman becomes so cold blooded he wins all the races... Go Schumi! Go Kimi!

October 10th, 2006 04:28 PM #38Guys, I dont wanna go back that road again. Just re-read my arguments in
the archives and thats it. As long you truly believe in your convictions
and the facts as you interpret them, and not by any nit-picking or
jealous sour-graping on your part, then heck! good for you!
Who says winners cant be magnanimous? right? :naughty2:

Talk about an engine failure eh? Just when you thought the Ferrari engine was indestructible, it blew up at such a critical time in the championship
Nevertheless I'm with Ferrari as well(as kimi moves to ferrari next year hehehe ) kahit medyo malabo ang ferrari at mas malaki ang probability ni Alonso magchampion. He does need only 1 pt right?
Choice I would have made as well.
