It was a good thing that nobody was behind KR when that exhaust pipe suddenly decided it's time to say goodbye as it flew up in the air... That would have been a real hot item on your lap....
Although, as one of the commentators quipped,- "It is going to be a wonderful souvenir for a Ferrari fan", or something to that effect.....

I can just imagine running across the grass, chased by security and race stewards... reaching into the grass... and burning my hand to a crisp on a red hot piece of exhaust... yup...
Finally come to terms with LH's penalty... apparently he overtook long before the turn, which caused him to overshoot it because he was carrying way too much speed. He ceded position to the guy at the turn, but not the guy behind him that he had originally overtaken. Another rookie mistake by LH...

It may also be worth mentioning that this is Nelson Piquet Jr.'s first GP points. Although not remarkable enough to redeem himself so far. Sure, Kovalainen had a poor rookie season with Renault at the start, but Nelson Junior's current showing is far worse. Flavio can give more justice to fans by bringing in atleast a more entertaining driver, like Takuma Sato.
Sebastian Vettel is proving to be a promising driver. I think it just so happens that Vettel landed on a Torro Rosso, while Lewis landed on a Mercedes. If it was the other way around, Lewis would not have been the same celebrity as he is today. In fact, I think Lewis has committed more blunders than Vettel.
And I agree that Lewis should have been penalized with a drive-through. It was clear that Vettel was the first guy on the curb. If he cut the chicane, he should have let Vettel through, and then he can overtake him again. After all, a Toro Rosso is no match against a McLaren. So what's the hurry to gain a position?

^^It just shows his inexperience. Emotions took over than logic at that time (he was probably frustrated with his 10 place grid penalty), that is what separates champions like Kimi and Fernando from rookies like Hamilton.

Kimi has shown some humanity at the start of the year... Alonso? Hell, he shows his emotions in every move... but his experience shows in the fact that he doesn't let it ruin his race.
Vettel versus Hamilton... well... the one big problem with Hamilton is all the hype. There's so much pressure on his shoulders. Vettel has no such issues. He can just get in the car and drive. Lewis shows absolute brilliance at times. But at times, he shows his rookie-ness... the whole drive last race was a rookie drive... overbraking, overdriving the corners... his frustration showed through.
But when he has room to breathe... his driving is breath-taking... Lewis in the rain or at Monaco is an absolute joy to watch.
The kid has immense talent... but he's got to learn more control.

Let's not forget last year's 2007 Hungarian GP, where Lewis crazily break-tested Mark Webber behind the safety car at rainy conditions (supposedly, Lewis was trying to set himself up for a breakaway sprint as soon as the safety car dives into the pits). Unfortunately, Lewis' rookie antics caused Vettel to crash into Webber that took them both out. Why would you break-test on rainy conditions anyway?
Oh, and the next GP in Shanghai, Vettel claimed P4 at the checked flag in his Torro Rosso just behind Felipe Massa's Ferrari. And where was Lewis at that time? He got stuck in the sandtrap while entering the pits.
