Hmmmm, too nebulous, a lot can happen between now and 2007 so
speculating on incomplete data sounds frivolous. However, since I for one am
for frivolity I throw the following ideas around that are way beyond speculation,
so pls dont wag your finger at me come 2007 and yell at me "Told you so...!!"

    1. Read somewhere of Nissan's interests in entering F1 come 2007. This will
be in partnership with Renault (No surprise there) as a possible Renault B
team. I think this is not a very wise endeavor since it will dilute Renault's
own interest and strengths in F1. Also Renault is already going to supply engines
to a Red Bull squad so there will be a possible of conflict of interest? Also if they
do enter, what engine will they use??? since no Nissan engine has been
    homologated for 2007.

    2. I am still rooting for Williams for 2007, and since they will be switching
to Toyota engines by then, at least the reliability of their engines will improve.
However I dont expect lap times to change by much since the Toyota runners
    have underperformed this year.

    3. A lot have been said about the departure of Michelin from F1, and I think
it is truly a sad day (as well as a banner day) when that has finally arrived. A
banner day since they have proven their mettle time and again and has
bested the cream of what Bridgestone can offer. Sad in that I think
innovation and creativity in engineering will have diminished in F1. A lot of
people are for the idea of only one tire manufacturer in F1, I think it was a
bad decision. If you could innovate in engines and chassis, why not on tires?
I say the more the merrier. Let each racing team choose the best solution
in tires, chassis and engines and have the race as the proving ground. This
I think will prevent one manufacturer from dominating the sport and give
each team a competitive edge in that there will be too many "variables" for
one manufacturer and one team for that matter to master.

Et au Renault, à plus de puissance et à la bonne chasse pour 2007 !

    1. Nissan's entry will be interesting. How people hailed the great RB26something engine of the Skyline has really left speculation on why Nissan haven't tried F1, even as an engine supplier initially.

    2. Well, Toyota just can't find their groove on the chassis/aero department. Their engine is reliable and among the fastest in a straight line. But heck, Williams are lately a sucker in developing their car. Back then they had BMW power, the best on the grid, but they still can't be the fastest.

    3. Yeah, at least it should have been Bridgestone that left. It's sad to see a better tyre maker go. But it's best to invite even more players and begin another exciting tyre war.
