Amen! makes me wonder==religion is alienating instead of uniting. time to remove the wool in everyone's eye. Jesus is the way to God the Father not religion. cheers!

religion is just another money making scheme. LOL.
and what they teach is pure BS.
sure they preach about the good teachings that jesus has done, but aside from that, what else did they do? say doing petty things are bad and against god's will? sheesh.

I love Jesus but don't follow every word he said on the bible.
Ergo I share the same fate with religion.

religion = works, flagellation, procession, works to impress man, i will obey God because i want this and that
Jesus = love, faith, hope, a new life, works are the result of a changed life, i will obey God even if i do not get this or that

THE PURPOSE OF RELIGION is to give HOPE to the poor
their lives are difficult. their economic status prevents them from finding happiness (comfort) in this life so religion gives them hope that they'll find happiness in the next life. religion tells them suffering is only temporary and that there will be reward in the next life
religion alleviates
religion comforts
religion provides relief from a difficult life
religion is a drug. a pain reliever. it helps people forget pain and suffering
religion does not solve the root causes of pain and suffering. it just makes people look beyond present suffering and look forward to the end of suffering when they go to heaven
