i understand this is short term

thing is, andito na yung crisis.

Di kasi gumagawa ng long term plans govt natin nung wala pa crisis...

So ngayon andito na ang crisis, kung ngayon lang mag uumpisa sa long term plans ang govt, baka nag deteriorate na ang peace and order situation bago pa ang implementation...

i'm not in favor of subsidies... but this is better than letting the masses go out looting, destroying, raping, setting fires...

Or kung hindi subsidies for the poor, ibuhos nalang ang pera sa police force.

Coz u will need a massive number of police to control the coming chaos and violence.

Yung mga pinakamamahal nyong mga oto... papaluin at babatohin...

Keep in mind that in hard times, the resentment poor people have towards those who are better off intensifies.

Pansin nyo mga crimes these days mas brutal... mas violent...

The govt is trying to maintain order. It is trying to hold back a tidal wave.

    Tough job yan.

    cutting taxes, handing out cash...

subsidizing diesel, rice... asking telecoms to cut charges... asking Meralco to reduce rates...

Panic mode na yan. The govt will do anything to keep the angry, hungry masses from rioting in the streets.

    Delikado ang panahon...

I agree with you bro. GMA is just saving her administration's ass and the steps that they are doing might not be good in the long run but this would appease the people and take some heat off from her.

My take on this, the people dont need any sympathy. what they need is opportunity.

I'm not in favor. But, it's better to share some to less fortunate Filipinos, though they don't pay taxes, rather than these politicians keep the money in their pockets.
