Actually they're not idiots, because even messing with the life of an entire population they never get any punishment or prejudice...

Actually, when you look at politics at some levels, politicos and their kids wouldn't make it to be as rich as they if they worked on their own or went into business. That's why they propagate politics as a family business, di nila magagawa yan in real industry or entrepreneurship IMO.

They may as well put up sign on all QC boundaries.

    exactly

the same way capitalists train their kids to be capitalists, politicians train their kids to be politicians

it's their way of making a living

people fight to become mayor, congressman, etc no coz they wanna serve the public (fighting to serve the public? haha funny no?)

they run coz they gotta make a living

kaya nagpapatayan mga yan during election campaign

    kasi hanapbuhay ang pinaglalaban dyan

    parasites ang mga politicians

they suck money from the private sector

when they need more money, they simply create new taxes and/or increase existing taxes

they come up with new regulations which produce violations which produce revenue

they say the govt protects citizens

    yeah right

my question is who protects citizens from the govt?

    __

    Ayn Rand:
Potentially, a government is the most dangerous threat to man's rights: it holds a legal monopoly on the use of physical force against legally disarmed victims.
    Ayn Rand:
The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.
