March 11th, 2010 08:15 PM #61If Villar wins and, as expected corruption rules his administration, I could just imagine how will Ocampo and Masa face the people????
Apparently, they have betrayed their principles, that is, if they have...

a good businessman will not spend billions if he has no forecast of trillion interest.

Pansin ko lang parang mas maraming gigil durugin si Noynoy compared kay Villar, bakit kaya, samantalang IMO mas delikado to manalo eh.

March 13th, 2010 11:05 AM #68hahahaha! parang hero vs villain ba?
I really dont see it that way..... With the huge debt this admin created plus the power shortage problem plus the corrupt system we have, I really doubt that we will go forward after elections...... I believe only a miracle could turn us around..... what I do expect is for us to hang on and keep it together while we fix these problems the hard way........

there are very powerful interests who do not want things to change
a lot of people in the private sector make billions with the help of govt people and govt people become very rich in the process
there's a deeply entrenched public-private sector partnership that's highly resistant to change
do any of you guys think those people who make their living that way will just sit by and let some sheepy, idealistic guy become president and shake things up (or rock the boat, or take away their money machine)?
those special interest groups, those powers-behind-the-scenes will do anything to protect their interests
i'm sure they have a candidate they support
someone who will not change things
someone who will maintain the status quo
do you guys think Manny Villar's campaign is being funded only by Manny Villar?
he is spending ONLY his own money?
come on
doesn't he have very rich and powerful friends who will benefit greatly if he becomes president?
if you have a money-making machine, how much money are you willing to spend to protect your money-making machine?
will you help fund the campaign of someone who is aligned with your interests?
this isnt about spending money to make it back later
this is about protecting a massive, ongoing, money-making operationLast edited by uls; March 13th, 2010 at 12:05 PM.

March 13th, 2010 12:33 PM #70I think you're the only person who believes that he is not the only person bankrolling his candidacy. Truth is he has almost 5B to spend on his ambition after taking vistaland for IPO. Ganun kayaman sila. Actually, it's just half of what they profited from the IPO which is almost 10B.
Thanks, will research more about it.
