Then when the Ice Age ended, the same supreme being released a new design -- Cro Magnon -- to be smarter, agile, less hairy to be able to survive the warmer climate. They had to be fast and smart because the mastodons died out and they had to hunt faster, more dangerous prey.

    Why the need to re-design?

You said that the supreme being designed the humans to adapt and survive the the present climate. So if the present climate is the Ice Age, then great -- the Neanderthals were perfect.

So why the need to end the ice age when the supreme being knows that this would have killed off the Neanderthals?

Nagsawa ba siya sa Neanderthals? (Humans v1.0?) Gusto na niya i-wipe out yung Humans v1.0 tapos mag install ng Cro Magnons (Humans v2.0)?
Sorry ess, the question was rhetorical.

What is bothersome about this illustration is that the illustration conditions the reader into thinking that all science contradicts faith, which is completely false.

fossil evidence all over the place

fossil evidence not enough for you?

    how about DNA?

    Neanderthal DNA sequenced

A team of scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, Germany, recovered small amounts of DNA from a male Neanderthal skeleton, and using a novel method of sequencing have sequenced around 1 million base pairs of its genome.
Early analysis has so far shown that the Neanderthal Y chromosome is quite different to ours, suggesting that there wasn't much breeding between H. sapiens and H. neaderthalensis. It is estimated that H. neaderthalensis last shared a common ancestor with us around 315,000 years ago.

Economically? Militarily? What is the measure? Maybe yes to both, but they're sure fast into a decline. All I'm saying is that they can lose it all just like Rome if they continue to go the same route they're going, and they don't change. The tell tale signs of a degenerative society already point it in that direction.

Take love. Its hard to measure it. But we know that when a person spends more time with someone, serves him or her, is affectionate towards the other, we know that there is the presence of love. We can see it, but we can't measure it. The empirical evidence is there but how do we quantify that?
that's biological. we're evolved to mate. if we werent evolved to mate our species would have died out long ago

feelings are chemicals in our bodies

    love? oxytocin

Oxytocin ( /ˌɒksɨˈtoʊsɪn/) is a mammalian hormone that acts primarily as a neuromodulator in the brain. Oxytocin has the distinction of being the very first polypeptide hormone to be sequenced and synthesized biochemically, by Vincent du Vigneaud et al. in 1953.[1]

Oxytocin is best known for its roles in female reproduction. It is released in large amounts 1) after distension of the cervix and uterus during labor, and 2) after stimulation of the nipples, facilitating birth and breastfeeding. Recent studies have begun to investigate oxytocin's role in various behaviors, including orgasm, social recognition, pair bonding, anxiety, and maternal behaviors.[2] For this reason, it is sometimes referred to as the "love hormone".[3]

Now is it random or design? Sometimes it is, sometimes its not. Some "fall" (random) in love. Some are more choosy. Some like them boobsy, some like them leggy, some like them fat. No one in his random mind would choose a labrador, a chicken, or a snake to fall in love with and procreate, right? Now that, is design.
we're evolved to mate with our own species

there probably were species who mated with other species but they're no longer around today coz they didnt produce any offspring

If we follow this trail of thought, then its only a matter of time that the homo-sapiens will encounter the same fate. Question is, will it be through his own doing or not.

    yep

unless we're able to continuously adapt

polar ice melt, sea level rise, ocean temperature rise, weather patterns change, climate change

too dry, too wet, low crop yield

7 billion humans + X number of livestock to feed

    competition

    war

    survival of the fittest

I don't think its fair to say that these are Catholics, so lets not jump into conclusions here. Because if these people had strong convictions, then they wouldn't even think about this. They will more likely look for decent work to feed themselves.

I believe that man was created by God.

We need to understand that the written accounts in Genesis summarize it in prose (ordinary form) to illustrate what happened chronologically. The "days" as in the first day, or second day, etc., is not to say that God created the heavens and the earth in 24-hour periods, it is just there to illustrate that in the beginning he first created the heavens and the earth, until he created man on the "6th day." It is more for us to understand the logic of how He created the world. The timeline could have been a thousand, or a billion years, but nonetheless, I am convinced that He created all things.

What Will Be The Difference In Our Lives If We Dont Believe In God?
