OT:
Sino na nga ba president yung nakakita na wala ang Pilipinas sa mapa ng U.N. and when he asked the Philippines be included and someone said, "But it's too small and would just look like a dot!" our president said, " I WANT THAT DOT!"
La lang... naalala ko lang yang kwentong yan.

Nah. If they had little regard, they wouldn't even bother to apologize. We must stop thinking small about ourselves, otherwise others will do the same. Here is the more likely scenario, from a proud Pinoy's pt of view:
- In international functions like this, the host country should have protocol officers to ensure that all the details that pertain to the guest countries are in order.
- The protocol officer (and staff) didn't even bother to call a Pinoy diplomat for guidelines, or check Google Images for the correct way to display our flag. Baka ayaw gumastos sa phone call or internet, or talagang hindi pinag-aralan ang katungkulan niya.
- "Honest mistake" occurs. Host country is forced to apologize.
