bukod sa subsidy, higpitan at itaas ang kalidad ng edukasyon sa mga ganyang school. kasi may ibang eskwelahan na nagiging diploma mill at kulang na kulang ang suporta sa mga graduate nila.

They are subsidized. What is needed are more grants-in-aid for the poor to enable them to study in these institutions.

Job opportunities for pinoy electronic/computer technicians.....

Clark to house $1-B Samsung Electronics plant

    06/19/2008 | 05:51 PM

MANILA, Philippines- A strategic are inside the Clark Special Economic Zone will be home to the planned $1-billion production plant of top chip maker Samsung Electronics.

A top government official privy to the negotiations said that the government gave Samsung a choice between Clark and Subic Ecozone, but Samsung Electronics preferred the latter instead due to the lack of available land inside the Subic Bay.

"In fact, there is already an area reserved for Samsung inside Clark," he said.

Samsung Electronics is one of the largest semiconductor manufacturers in the world and South Korea's top electronics company. It makes various types of consumer devices including DVD players, big-screen television sets, and digital still cameras, computers, color monitors, LCD panels and printers.

It also manufactures semiconductors such as flash memory and communications devices ranging from wireless phones to networking switches. The company which is the flagship member of Samsung Group, also makes microwave ovens, refrigerators, air conditioners, and
    washing machines.

The official further confirmed that it took the government over a year to finally close the deal with Samsung who wants to engage in chips production for exports to other major countries worldwide. The delay was caused by the tax evasion issue against its company president in
    South Korea.

The official said Samsung's operations in Clark would be similar to what Texas Instruments is presently into.

Clark was the same zone where United Parcel Service housed its services, until recently, when the firm decided to downsize its business in the Philippines and relocate elsewhere. - GMANews.TV

Kasi hindi puede matutunan ang mga bagay bagay sa classroom lang, terminal time is the most important in skilled work. There should always be the master and the apprentice, you measure twice ,you cut once.

Mag aaral ka sa classroom but who will pay for the material you will work
on? There you need a client to pay for everything and sa worksite mo lang
makukuha ang trabaho at hindi sa school. Walang materials doon.
The school cannot create problems for you to solve and train with.

Your school could be the most equipped in terms of technology pero pag labas mo ng school you will be surprised that most companies cannot afford
the equipment you trained with. Most machines will still be manually operated. It will always be cheaper to keep a master craftsman and apprentises than to pay for a 20 million machine with a 3 years warranty. Even with overtime pay factored in.

You cant compare a caregiver program with vocational training it is worlds apart.

I dont know how it is now, but before all those coming in for vocational training are coming in as scholars.

Meralco foundation also sends their students there for their laboratory. 20 plus years ago,
for those old enough to remember.
Mahirap buhay sa Meralco Foundation. Sa batch namin, 1200 took the entrance exam and interview, then 300 were selected for 3 weeks observation period then 100 lang napili to become full pledged scholars tapos after 3 years 76 lang ang naka-graduate (inc. my wife) but before graduation ay employed na kaming lahat (muntik pa nga akong sumemplang).
But outside Phils. even mga puti, jap, germans, chinese, indians, etc.. ay recognized because of their skills and experience and not because of their degree.
