If the elections were to be held today, my lot will go to Dick Gordon, but Mar Roxas is an acceptable alternative.

A single instance of perceived arrogance is not enough to change my mind. Actually, ok lang na medyo barahin kasi kitang kita naman na yung mga "guests" were trying to obfuscate the issue, filibustering, so to speak. They should be direct to the point. For me, he was one of only a handful of senators who really did his homework. His questions and statements, particularly those directed to Sec. Formoso, were really discerning.

Kitang-kita naman, in the case of Sec. Teves, sinabihan na nga ni Sen. Pangilinan na answerable only be Yes or No, nag-speech pa. He should have categorically answered the question, then laid the predicate for his answer.

I was also able to watch his tirades against atty formoso (tama ba?)..Roxas asks questions but doesn't let the person answer or even explain-siya (Roxas) na rin ang sumasagot sa tanong niya.

Baguio media last month was abuzz with his coming over here to visit vegetable farms in Benguet... dami nakapansin na maaga siyang nangangampanya..obvious naman dahil in the first place, he has no business coming over here ..wala naman emergency dito but his presence alone (especially at the public market) is revolting!!

Haven't you noticed lately?

As for Mar Roxas, his pagmamagaling (that he seems to know everything) makes me conclude that he is plain arrogant and a power tripper at most!

    Boo Chanco, Philippine star 9-21-07

    Basics of deal
Sen. Mar Roxas should be commended for asking the most incisive and relevant questions during last Tuesday’s hearings, using very clear language. Sen. Roxas demolished the assertion of the former Chairman of the Commission on Information Technology and Communication (CICT) that the broadband project is going to deliver savings for the government.
Sen. Roxas got the former bureaucrat to admit that the savings figure he was using was provided by DOTC Secretary Mendoza which he has not verified himself. Back of the envelop computations of Sen. Roxas showed the figure was wrong. Garbage In, Garbage out, Sen. Roxas declared.

maybe one of the reason kung bakit madami ayaw pumunta sa senado for a hearing. some senators do not show respect to fellow filipinos. iimbitahan ka para sumagot sa mga tanong tapos ndi ka papasagutin. duh??? as if the senators are a higher form of organism than other filipinos.

tapos the manner the senate hearings are conducted is similar to a trial. its like they want to prove guilt of someone which is not really their job. if they want the culprits to go to jail, file the case in the proper court. jan mo makikita kung seryosa sila sa pag imbestiga sa isyung pinag uusapan. ndi yung kakalimutan na lang after sila mag[asikat sa televised hearing.

isa pa, puro sila imbestiga pero meron bang batas na nabuo or na ammend as a result of their investigations? they use the power of the senate for political reasons.
