In times like this, there's no justice in the Philippines.
That's what my lawyer friend (from a prominent law firm in makati) tells me all the time.
IMO, sometimes, the only way to achieve justice is to put it in your hands.

CONVICTED child rapist Romeo Jalosjos is back in police custody after leaving detention and flying home to Zamboanga del Norte province and will be detained at the Zamboanga penal colony in the meantime.
For the Philippine National Police, it would be better that the former congressman remain detained at the Zamboanga penal colony instead of being detained again at the National Penitentiary in Muntinlupa City, which he allegedly left without permission from the proper authorities.
Police Director General Avelino Razon said the Muntinlupa jail was no longer secure because "Jalosjos was able to escape" and fly back home to Zamboanga Del Norte.
"Our recommendation is huwag na muna siya ibalik sa Muntinlupa dahil doon ay nakatakas siya [don't bring him back to Muntinlupa as he managed to escape from there]," Razon told INQUIRER.net in a phone interview.
Razon said Jalosjos would stay at the Zamboanga penal colony unless the Department of Justice orders a transfer in detention.
Jalosjos was convicted in 1997 for statutory rape and sentenced to two life terms. His victim was an 11-year-old girl.
He has since been detained Muntinlupa until President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in April commuted to 16 years the two life terms Jalosjos had received for statutory rape.
The 16-year jail term ended December and Jalosjos was given a release order by jail officials based on computation of the time Jalosjos had served, counting allowance for good behavior. But the computation was questioned by justice department officials.
Jalosjos, however, left detention Saturday and flew to Dapitan in Zamboanga Del Norte, where he was apprehended early Sunday morning.
Razon said Jalosjos did not resist arrest but claimed he had the right to leave the detention.
"According to him, meron siyang release order na hinahawakan [he had a release order] but it was an order nullified by [Justice] Secretary Raul Gonzales," said Razon.
The former congressman is now in Zamboanga City from which he is expected to be brought to the Zamboanga penal colony.

Na-recapture.....ok. Pero tingnan nila kung ito nga ay nakakulong sa loob ng Penal Colony. Baka naman buhay laya din siya. Sa NBP, naka-aircon pa raw yang kumag na yan. Which is not being "enjoyed" by those ordinary inmates.
