Q: What do you call a candidate for the papacy?
    A: "Papabili"

Baka isipin ng mga pulitiko sa Pinas na ang mga kandidatong ito ay nagpapabili.

While there are no official candidates for the next pope, news agency Reuters came up with a shortlist of 10 papabili (Italian term for potential popes) most frequently mentioned.

Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco is Archbishop of Genoa. A former professor of philosophy, he has studied contemporary atheism, and he is also a two-time president of the Italian bishops conference.

Cardinal Leonardo Sandri was born to Italian parents but raised in Buenos Aires, which would make him the first pope from South America. He has been a longtime Vatican diplomat as well.

Cardinal Angelo Scola, another Italian, is Archbishop of Milan. He has held two jobs that traditionally breed popes: his current post in Milan and as the Patriarch of Venice. Scola is a top scholar on Islam and Catholic-Muslim dialogue.

Cardinal Francis Arinze is Nigerian and is a favorite to succeed Benedict. Arinze, who would be the first African pope, has also worked on relations between Catholics and Muslims. He is known as theologically conservative.

Topless protesters 'celebrate' Pope's resignation in Paris | The Sun |News

    By IAN GARLAND
    Published: 13th February 2013

FEMINISTS stripped topless and stormed the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris yesterday to 'celebrate' the Pope's resignation.

Nine members of Ukrainian group Femen drew crowds as they marched through the French capital with 'Pope no more' scrawled on their bare boobs.

The women - wearing just tights and hotpants - then entered the 850-year-old Catholic church and surrounded one of two huge bells on display, before ringing it.

Ganyan dapat ang mga protesters sa atin.
