    hehe

nag meeting ang Fed last week

they said US economic growth is accelerating, unemployment rate is falling, and there's upward pressure on prices (inflation)

since mukhang ok na ang US economy the market is anticipating the Fed will slowly withdraw support kaya lumakas ang dollar

background: in response to the pandemic the Fed lowered interest rates to zero and provided tons of liquidity to banks to support the economy -- that caused to dollar to fall

if the Fed pulls support the dollar will strengthen

    yan ang reaction ng market

even with the strong peso domestic prices of basic goods keep rising due to higher commodities prices in international markets

as the dollar strengthens it will put more upward pressure on domestic prices (higher import cost)

^That's correct increase in international commodities plus the increase in delivery cost of all commodities when it reach our market due to additional excise tax on fuel (TRAIN LAW) results in SOBRANG MAHAL

    humina PHP

    lumakas ang demand for dollars

more imports as economic activity returns

+ importing is now more expensive coz of container van shortage (mas mataas ang shipping cost)

+ higher oil prices (you need more dollars to purchase the same amount of oil/products)

So ang trend sa ngayon, pababa parij ang PHP

Iyak nanaman ang importer, pasa sa consumer ulit
