Another Chinese Resto bites the dust...in Banawe.

    Chinatown's Best Food

Today will be our last day of operations. As we look back on our decades of service we remember fondly all the happy events that you celebrated with us. The birthdays, weddings, engagements, baptismals and buffet meals brought family and friends together to make happy memories. We will miss coming to work each day and making your celebrations special.
Please post and tag us your favourite photo of time spent at Chinatown’s Best Food.
We don’t know what the future holds but hopefully one day we can see you once again.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
    May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

    when we first went there,
i took to the carapace, while the others went the usual everything.
    they asked me why.
i showed them the undersurface of the shell. "pure cholesterol." at hindi na kailangang pag-hirapang himayin.
the next time, pati sila, nakiki-agaw na sa carapace.

Carapace and aligi, I recall the time when we went on an outing with foreigners and may baon kami crabs, tinatapon nila ang talukap na puno ng aligi! So my companions secretly picked them up from the trash can hehe...

Btw, my wife doesn't eat them also, I like them but only sparingly on rice. Kaya pag order kami sa resto may konting tipid K

^ oo nga. those who don't rake through the underside of a mud crab's carapace don't know what they're missing.

same goes w/ fish heads. i used to ignore them until my mother ribbed me for missing the creature's fleshy and tasty piece de resistance. hindi daw ako marunong kumain ng isda.

iyon nga lang, kelangan ipawis pagkatapos kainin iyang mga cholesterol bombs na mga iyan.

Mga Caucasians, they will clean off lahat ng taba from crabs. We always tell them not to remove anything and just cook it whole.
