    Regularly played at ABC before the pandemic. The local badminton scene has really changed - no more queuing groups where you just show up and match up with others in a big group. These days you really just get to play with your core group.

    Security, Chinabank, RCBC, EastWest beat COVID nightmare as profits expand double digits H1 | Bilyonaryo

    Security Bank posted the biggest profit with P5.7 billion during the first half of 2020, up 15 percent from the same period in 2019.

    Security Bank generated P2.2 billion profits in the second quarter when the gross domestic product cratered 16.5 percent, the worst in the country’s post-war history.

    The Sy-blings’ China Banking Corp. was the second biggest moneymaker with P5.228 billion in the first half of 2020, up by 24 percent.

    The Gotianuns’ EastWest Banking Corp. had the biggest jump with 56 percent to P4.459 billion in the first six months.

    Yuchengcos’ Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. netted P3.1 billion in the first half this year, higher by 16.5 percent.

    Four other banks posted profits but lower than the previous year. .

    malaki binaba ng profit nila sa 1st half 2020 compared to same period last year

    since pinakamalaki sila they have the most assets (loans) they have to set aside huge loan loss allowances in anticipation of slow payment / non-payment of loans

    sa accounting loan loss allowance is considered an expense so it eats into profits
